The Department of Economics organised an Interactive Session cum Talk on 26th July, 2022 from 11.00 to 12.00 noon. The Resource Person for the Session was Ms. Huligemma Basuraj Bidurkundi, Sr. Agency Manager, State Bank of India Life Insurance Co.Ltd and an alumini of the College.
The Interactive Session cum Talk commenced with the welcome address by Associate Professor in Economics and Head of Department, Dr. Elizabeth Henriques followed by the introduction of the Resource Person by Ms. Farah Felizinha Mendonca, Assistant Professor in Economics.
Ms. Huligemma, began the session by sharing her rich experiences of her journey from pursuing her Bachelors in Commerce degree till the present day work scenario. In the course of her talk she elaborated on the remunerative work opportunities available in the insurance sector. She also highlighted that when it comes to jobs in the marketing segment, employees avail the benefits of not just salaries but incentives too. She finally ended the session by conveying to the students that life isn’t easy, and with hard work and sheer determination comes immense success.
A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Wilfreda Fernandes student of T.Y.B.Com. A total of 69 final year students attended the talk.
