The Government College of Commerce and Economics organized a Drawing Workshop for the children of Borda Anganwadi and Vidhyanagar Anganwadi on 22nd October 2022. The workshop began at 10:00 a.m.
Dr. Fatima De Souza first welcomed all the children and their teachers for the workshop. The program commenced with the introduction of each student. A number of activities were held for the students such as singing, dancing, storytelling, action songs etc. Our college students and teachers also showed the children some dances. The children were also asked what they would like to become when they grew up.
This was followed by the drawing workshop. Colorful papers and colours were given to the children for drawing. The children were helped by our college students for the drawing. This was followed by a few games conducted for the children.
Refreshments were served to the children. Each student was given a compass box as a token in memory of our Late Principal Prof. Gajanand Madiwal. Dr. Fatima then thanked the organizers, the teachers and students of our college for their active participation and also the staff and children of the two Anganwadis.
A total of 13 children participated in the workshop who was accompanied by their teachers and other staff. Overall the program was a grand success and it brought smiles to the children and all those present. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Maria Fatima De Souza and Asst. Prof. Jonlen DeSa.
