The Department of Commerce in collaboration with Skill Development Cell organized “One Hour Institutional Workshop on Rural Entrepreneurship and Sustainability in Campus and Community” for the Faculty and students of our college on 5th November, 2022.
Mrs. Blazel Cardozo, Assistant Professor in Commerce and Programme Cordinator and welcomed the resource person Ms. Shivangi Shirodkar, Project Associate, Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Dr. Maria Fatima De Souza, HOD Commerce Department and Convener of Skill Development Cell, Mrs. Vinita Bhandari, Assistant Professor in Commerce Programme Cordinator and the students.
Dr. Maria Fatima De Souza focused on the Atmanirbhar Bharat yojana and pointed out the benefits of being self-employed viz. social recognition, improvement in standard of living, employment generation etc. to the community at large.
Ms. Shivangi Shirodkar, resource person for the workshop begin her session by interacting with the students and giving introduction of the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education agency and the various kinds of work undertaken by the same.
